We use time to make money, yet we can't buy time with money

It's an open-ended movie. Will is born into a lower-class family and suddenly gains a century-long lifespan. He climbs the social ladder and gambles with the wealthiest man in the world, then falls in love with this man's daughter and together they fight to return time to poverty. This storyline resembles the "shuangwen" concept in Chinese novels. The director doesn't even reveal what happened to time or Will's father.
It's like a critique of wealthy individuals. They possess 80% of the world's wealth and knowledge, exerting control over the rest of the population. Only revolution can reform this system, yet it often merely replaces one wealthy figure with another.
The idea is profound and realistic. We use time to make money, yet we can't buy time with money. Only time is eternal.
