a short review

so many things happen at the same time, information full of the show, every role had their own plans, they are all smart, but they cant completely understand the other characters because people change. this makes the show more complicated. you have to catch up the situation of every role, follow the case at the same time, sometimes they speak quite fast in the legal provision, so u have to pretty focus while u are watching this show. or else u may not get all the msgs, or u cant predict the act of the role.

this season shows us being a black and white sustain person in the complicated political and legal world is really really hard, almost impossible.


[Episode 18, Gloves Come Off]

the twist in the case in this episode, actually, is not a twist. is just Alicia and the audience(me) can't see through all the plans that the defendant has planned.

We thought Mr.Canning won't delay the case like usual becuz he knows Alicia won't have any preparation, and he wanna take the advantage of that. but then, we know he actually wants to win this case to establish legal precedent for hockey league before the class action.

but the result of the case is Alicia's client got $5 million to settle (from the snowmobile, the original defendant). the hockey league just get off the case becuz they have already gotten wt they want, which is the evidence of the following class action. god knows this is the original plan or plan B, either way, nice play.
