"Our purpose is to amuse, simply to amuse. Nothing serious, nothing political." Or...is it really? "Carnival of Monsters" is basically, Doctor Who. The Scope is like the Tardis, bigger on the inside (ppl running around chased by Monsters, repeating themselves without knowing it) than the outside (a xenophobic and oppressive regime). Should amusement be used for distraction? Or amusement running amok can overthrow the ruling class? Robert Holmes's stab at political/self-referential satire before The Deadly Assassin, my favorite 3rd doctor story

本季最喜欢。外星生物动物园，宏观上的奇观和微观上的残忍。外面套了一层外星夺权故事，依然是角色好玩
