McHale在采访中表示原计划是23年6月开拍，然后编剧工会罢工，无限期推迟了。

现在演员工会也加入其中，更加无法开拍了。

不过McHale承诺不管最后花多久时间，电影一定会有 “still going to happen,” saying that “when this strike is over, we’ll come back and we’ll make it. And I am sure that [series creator] Dan [Harmon] will put in 12 jokes addressing the fact it took [this long to come together]. But we’ll get there. It just may take a little while.”
