Overall a fun ride, particularly if treated as a suspenseful, "escape under siege" revenge story with feminist commentaries. The entire borrowed dialogue from Kenneth Clark does feel odd and forced at times --- the idea of leveraging this "western civilization" narrative and its toxic patriarchal connotation brewed within right wing circle over recent years, is reasonable yeah yeah I know but still, Kenneth Clark isn't Jordan Peterson and Rachel Maclean isn't as direct as Hannah Gadsby either (particularly in terms of critiquing art history canon directly) so that doesn't help. This aspect of borrowed dialogue indeed makes it more aptly a child of museum artwork influence.

@ LFF 实验单元 BBC和各方资助苏格兰女权主义艺术家做的实验科幻惊悚喜剧 一看就是外行拍的 制作不行 有一种塑料感 各种reference cosplay, man stare等 其实还是很有想法的 可惜完成度不行 疯疯癫癫的 感觉比较适合做成短的video installation 不适合弄成电影 有些事情说的太明白了就很无聊了 女主演技也不好 俩女配倒是挺不错 还有整个片子虽然是反讽女性在男权社会下不得不过度在意外表 各种化妆、整形、不敢吃饭。。。但这片子里的妆化真的好看 啊 我惭愧 我肤浅..... world premiere 用Q&A里面女性观众的评价说 thank you, this film is insane 哈哈哈哈哈

代表苏格兰出席威尼斯双年展的艺术家Rachel Maclean的第一部长篇作品。一如既往的Maclean风格化的表演，用一种强烈的in-yer-face的艺术表达糊观众一脸。

IFRR 2019, 比较感兴趣的是她对internalized male gaze和当前西方feminism的复杂性的表现。（美妆博主这个真的太到位了）visual language很强，但是或许更加适合美术馆。（导演人很好
