Still, I missed my family. So I asked my husband, to consent to visiting my relatives. Zhaltis agreed. But he told me to stand by the lake on my way back. and she cried, "My husband, if you are alive, sail away. If you are dead, show yourself in blood on the water." Anna: Instead of the truth you tell me a legend. Egle: There is a grain of truth in every legend. Anna: So speak up. Egle: My brothers did not agree to my returning to my husband. They learned of our call and went to the lake. When Zaltis came to the surface, they cut it into pieces with scythes. Coming back with our little daughter, I stood at the shore of the lake and called out. Then the water turned red, and the voice from the lake told me who was guilty of the crime.
