The OA is about a white girl whose only inspiration in life is to become Jesus herself. In order to do that she wrote a show for herself in which all of the characters are moronic so that she can be reflected brilliant, and then of course, the saviour angel to the people who knows and feels everything. In spite the fact that she made herself adopted by a couple of really nice humble american parents who treated her like a princess, she still hates them because they want their psychotic daughter to be normal. She forced people to practice a stupid dance (which can cure cancer of course, no science needed) with her and left the audience feeling stupid and cheated. In the end the WHITE girl saved everyone by doing that stupid dance and became the modern female Jesus.

Probably u'r right. I feel it stupid sometimes especially when the girl refused Holmer's advice that they should not save the woman first. Only those who truely considered oneself the incarnation of angel will do this. And if she is really an angel, this show is too religious (I don't want to use the world spiritual cuz it has different meaning) and has nothing to do with si-fi.
I am just curious what stories they are going to make in the second season to make it more si-fi or just more disappointed? Yeah, I will watch the 2nd season hoping it will give me either a true surprise or a stupid bullshit.

Her hatred towards her adoptive parents is totally unacceptable! She is just a selfish, self-centred and ungrateful person (i wanna say "bitch") who keeps telling herself and other people that she's an angle. It's not like you save one poor ALS lady then you deserve to be called an angle. Her (the writer and lead actress) ridiculous logic ruined everything.

Truth is, they can totally cure the paralyzed woman when they all get SAVED first! Nobody said they can't cure her. Not to cure her RIGHT NOW means you have chance to escape and cure MORE PEOPLE right? Are angels' IQ all so low? I don't believe it.
And, she wasn't getting the bullet for anyone to be saved. Nobody should be getting hurt after the magical dance. Why is she even there? To CATCH the bullet because she can't find a way to get another near death experience, which takes her back to Homer? Wait, she was right in the bath tub one minute ago, she could have drowned herself instead of running such a long way there to CATCH the bullet. Jesus got crucified INSTEAD of sinners who are supposed to die. She got hit by the bullet instead of who? The kids saved the day by magical dance so she gets the magical bullet that sends her home? Nonsense.
As soon as you're born of a pair of parents, you're not Jesus, or an angel. Just because you pretty (in human eyes) doesn't mean you can be an angel. A girl looks into the mirror and think, ha, I might be an angel, how about that, lol.
It's more gnosticism or Buddhism related, talking about Samsara-like ideas, not the messiah-like ideas.
