At the end of Tuesday’s episode of Prison Break, titled “The Prisoner’s Dilemma,
” the mysterious figurehead -- only known as “a rogue CIA operative”
-- was possibly revealed to be Sara’s husband, Jacob Ness ,
as he was spotted by T-Bag talking to two henchmen, A&W and Van Gogh.
But, is Jacob really Poseidon?
“There are definitely a number of more moves to that story,” creator Paul T. Scheuring exclusively tells .
“The idea is to say,
‘Boy, that sure looks like it’s Jacob. Jacob sure looks like [he’s] Poseidon.’
All roads point to him at that point, but like I said, that is not the final understanding of Poseidon or Jacob.”
Though Scheuring was coy, he did note that the identity of Poseidon is “more complex” than anyone could have imagined. But for the time being, it does appear that Jacob may be working against Sara.
“He does not, in that moment, seem to be on the right side,” he confirmed.
And don’t expect T-Bag to be keeping his revelation from Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies), his new unlikely ally. “Oh yes, he’s coming right back to her. He’s going to tell her everything,” Scheuring said.
With Sara armed with potentially damaging intel on her husband, their marriage will become strained -- and understandably so.
“At least with that information, in [the next] episode, she’s going to realize she’s sleeping with the enemy,” Scheuring teased. “But is that the final twist or are there more twists in that storyline? Is it a misunderstanding?”
“There are more moves in that storyline subsequently,” he continued, reiterating his prior comments, “but for now, at the end of the episode, [Jacob] sure looks a hell of a lot like Poseidon.”
Poseidon, though, has a masterplan and it somehow involves Michael (Wentworth Miller), a point Scheuring emphasized: “On some level, the whole thing is a head game played by Poseidon on Michael and then Michael, in turn, has a head game to play on Poseidon, where down is up and everything you think you know is not true. We’re hoping that we blow the audience’s mind in the last episode.”

Think back to when Sara was talking to Kellerman about Kaniel Outis.
Kaniel Outis is wanted for the murder of a senior CIA official,
and Kellerman shows that Kaniel murdered the official on camera.
the agent he "killed" is Poseidon.
Poseidon wanted people to think he was dead,
and he traded Sara's freedom for Michael to help fake his death,
which would explain why Sara is free.
he also wanted Abu Ramal, so that explains why Michael got involved in the middle east.
