血红鲜花是博罗夫奇克惯用的象征符号，意指在极权主义意识形态中对自我牺牲的讴歌，本片中鲜花被设置为一个狡诈阴险而满脸横肉的男性的头饰，更加清晰明了地辅证了这一点。片中的宇航员救援了一艘红色飞船，结果却被该飞船反噬而坠毁，不禁让人想起了那尘封在历史中的卡廷惨案。【8】
