This film successfully scared me.

In the begin one is led to think that this girl is a witch, or has some supernatural power. The book certainly looks sinister. The bands on her neck and wrists remind us of shackles, the removal of which may lead to unforseeable consequences.
Her revenge on the girl classmate was crude - pushing her off the slide?? What if she was not concussed and comatose? She would have lost her innocence.
The ways she alienate the mother is... not so impressive. But the murder of Mother Abigail was efficient. The way Max was manipulated was not very convincing... but who am I, a childless man, to say of that?
Seducing the father was laughable. The makeup was terrible. I mean, that is not even the right way to sell a Lolita.
The most scary part is the painting in the room. Such unleashed lust!
If all she wants is sex, couldn't it be easily found on campus? All the boys with hormone rushing through their veins...
The battle was not bad. She, being in physically disadvantage, armed herself. The tactic of shooting the mother when the light was turned on was impressive.
Looking back on it, she didn't really stand a chance, from the beginning of the movie. Her grace in the beginning, the anger of rejection in the end, made us feel slightly sorry for her.
