痛苦绵延的时间中，洗澡成了最后一丝慰藉。

印象深刻的点：
1. 小恶魔Mary看Martha和Karen时那个close-up female gaze真的是太棒了。
2. 除了Martha和Karen外，里面基本没有让人尊敬、喜欢的女性形象。
小人Aunt Lily; 小恶魔Mary;有kleptomania而被Mary利用的Rosalie ; 悲剧推手、更关心自己conscience relief的Mrs. Tilford. “the wicked very young, the wicked very old”
（对比第一个告诉她们实情的Mr. Burton和不离不弃的Joe？）
3. 使得这部影片伟大的，不是主题上儿童的恶，也不是谎言背后蕴含的真相。
而是Martha开启的痛苦自我认知。
“Listen to me. I have loved you the way they said.”
” I’m guilty. ”
“I feel so damn sick and dirty, I can’t stand it anymore.”
非常典型的internalized homophobia.
4. 最后意识到自己”unnatural” sexuality的Martha上吊自杀，dyke is doomed to death.
