FOR FORMAL EVENING - Mary Carlisle and Fay Holden, Paramount players in "Double or Nothing" starring Bing Crosby, suggest a charming idea for mother and daughter attending the same party. Miss Holden's gown is of black and gold brocade with a cape of the same fabric, trimmed with silver fox. Miss Carlisle's gown is gray-blue chiffon over a stain slip and is embroidered here and there with crystal beads in a floral pattern. A sash of chiffon molds the waistline. A bolero of the same fabric is embroidered with beads and trimmed with a wide collar of white fox. Designer is Edith Head.
