Universal-International Universal City, Calif. Distinctive indeed is this black and white ensemble designed by Bill Thomas for Linda Darnell in Universal-International's "The Lady Pays Off." The redingote of black eyelet is outlined with band of black linen and worn over a foundation of white waffle pique with strapless top. Huge white daisies are tucked at the waistline. In addition to being striking the ensemble is practical too, for the pique foundation, without the redingote, may be worn with colorful stoles or other ornamentation.
