“We haven’t have any communication in a while and it’s given me time I needed to think.”
For a long time, “You have all these insane anxieties about everything in your life and you’ve lost you balance.” You carried your anxieties and fears around with you but you were too weak and afraid to face them.
Losing your loved one has created a wound in your heart that feels like will never heal, the wound is so deep and painful but “It feels like a precious wound… like a heartbreak you won’t let go of, because it hurts too good…we all want things to stay the same, settle for living in misery because we’re afraid of change, of things crumbling to ruins. Then I looked around in this place, at the chaos it’s endured, the ways it’s been adapted, burned, pillaged then found a way to build itself back up again, and I was reassured – maybe my life hasn’t been so chaotic. It’s just the world that is and the only real trap is getting attached to any of it. Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation…We must always be prepared for endless waves of transformation. Both of us deserve better than staying together…because we’re afraid we’ll be destroyed if we don’t.”
You were too scared to face your fear. “You thought you were over him, but you love him. So love him! You really miss him. So miss him! Sending him some light and love every time you think of him and then drop it. You know, if you could clear out all that spaces in your mind that you’re using to obsess over this guy and your failed relationship, you’d have a vacuum with a doorway. And you know what universe will do with that doorway? Rush in, God rush in, fill you with more love than you ever dreamed of. I think you will have the capacity someday to love the whole world.
You saw his message but you didn’t respond, “because if I didn’t respond, we are still having a conversation, I was still in it.” And you don’t know what to say to him, you have an ocean of words to tell him, but really, deep in heart, you just want to say “Sorry”, you want him to forgive you.
“Yep, you arranged it all. Nobody forced you into anything. You can’t forgive yourself and you are waiting for him to forgive you.” But “waiting for him to forgive you is a damn waste of time. Forgive yourself.” I know “it’s not that easy.” “Here is the deal. You are going to pray until you forgive yourself. Everything else will take care of itself.”
“I know you feel awful. But your life’s changing. That’s not a bad thing.” You ask “When is this grieving phase going to pass?” There is no such date circled on calendar. “You get to do the work. Meditate and pray, get your butt down to the Geet every morning and something will change.” Trust me, “It won’t last forever. Nothing does.”
“You have to learn to select your thoughts the same way you select your clothes every day. That’s a power you can cultivate. You want to control your life so bad, then work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should control. Because if you can’t master your thoughts, you’re in trouble. Why don’t you just let it be?”
“If you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out a truth-seeking journey either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher, and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, and the truth will not be withheld from you. "
“Hey Emily, believe in love again.” “Sometime losing balance for love is part of living balanced life.” Don’t be afraid any more.
Also “be careful what you pray for, Emily, because you just might get it.” and don’t forget to take action on your will “There is a wonderful old Italian joke about a poor man who goes to church every day and prays before the statue of the great saint begging “Dear saint, please, please, please let me win the lottery.” Finally, the exasperated statue comes to life and looks down to the begging man and said 'My son, please, please, please buy a ticket.' So now I get the joke and I’ve got three ticket.”
