Eureka Moments

Having watched the show, I can't help but write these lines down, which I found inspiring and thought-provoking.

1. Otis's mother (Dr. Milburn) vs "Juliet"

Dr. Milburn: Do you know what asexuality is? It's when someone has no sexual attraction to any sex or gender. Sex... just doesn't do it for some people.

"Juliet": But I still want to fall in love.

Dr. Milburn: Well, some asexual people still want romantic relationships but they don't want the sex bit. And others don't want either. You know, sexuality is fluid. Sex doesn't make us whole. And so, how could you ever be broken?

2. Isaac vs Maeve.

Nothing changes, if nothing changes, right?

3. Jackson Marchetti vs Viv

Viv: What was it about her that you liked so much?

Jackson: It's just the feeling, isn't it? I can't really explain it. "Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore, is winged Cupid painted blind."

4. Isaac vs Maeve

If you grow up knowing the people who are meant to make sure you survive just left you, it leaves a lot of scars. But those scars make you special.

5. Eric Effoing vs his mother (abbr. Mom)

Mom: That boy is not right for you.

Eric: You don't think any boy's right for me.

Mom: It's not him; it's you. You act like a different person when you're around him, like you're trying to be something that you're not. He doesn't make you sparkle.

6. Adam Groff vs his mother (abbr. Mom)

Mom: When you love a person, there's always a tiny part of you that's terrified that one day you're gonna lose them. And I think that your father's so scared of that emotion that he stops himself feeling anyting at all. But you have to let the people you love know that you love them, even if it causes you a great deal of pain.

Adam: Why? It sounds awful.

Mom: Because you're alive.

7. Otis Milburn vs Maeve Wiley

Otis: Hey, Marvel. I know you can't answer this right now because I'm watching you on live TV. But I wanted you to know how proud of you I am, and how unbelievably stupid I've been. You telling me you had feelings for me was... was all I wanted to hear, and... I was so caught up in trying to do the right thing. I lost track of what that actually is. It's you. It's always been you. I love you, Maeve.
