Compared to Sand and Sorrow produced by George Clooney, this film presents the genocide in Darfur through a personal look while Sand and Sorrow is more of a collage of footages and perspectives of scholars and other parties.
I think the film does a good job in delivering the facts, emotions and the helplessness felt by an individual in an event which is operated on the international level and by governmental machines.
I am curious why some Sudanese people defended their country in the Holocaust Museum. Not only the Sudanese government official defended the country, but also some other Sudanese. I don't believe that the Sudanese people who study, live and work here would defend their country on a genocide for no reason. It makes me feel there is another story somewhere. I wanna know their explanation, their perspective and their side of the story even though no story might be able to justify a genocide.
